School
Ousseynou attended the New York University Tisch School of the Arts on a full-ride scholarship to obtain his BFA in Film and Television. Tisch proved to be an invaluable playground for growth, experimentation, and collaboration as Ousseynou was surrounded by some of the greatest like-minded, driven, passionate artists of his generation. He would go on to study how to create striking visuals and put together compelling narratives through the likes of writing, directing, editing, animating, visual effects, cinematography, sound mixing, and lighting.
It would be disingenuous to paint Ousseynou’s time at NYU as one without its challenges; his first year at the university was marked with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, which fundamentally altered the way the film program was run and left the global community dispersed across the world. Ousseynou was no stranger to adversity, however, and he, like many of his peers, would choose to rise above the situation to create great works with the help of each other and the outstanding school faculty and administration.
